Ranchi, April 13: Chief Minister Hemant Soren on Monday assured full government support for the reconstruction and beautification of the Shri Ram Janaki Tapovan Temple in Ranchi, calling it an important symbol of faith and heritage.

Government support for temple redevelopment

Members of the Shri Ram Janaki Tapovan Temple Reconstruction Committee met the Chief Minister at his residential office and briefed him on the ongoing construction work. They also invited him to visit the site.

Soren reviewed the progress and said the government would extend full cooperation to ensure the temple’s renovation is completed on a grand scale. He stressed that, along with making the temple visually appealing, all necessary facilities for devotees should be developed.

Temple to emerge as major religious attraction

Describing the Tapovan Temple as a historical heritage site, the Chief Minister said it has the potential to become a major attraction for devotees from across the country and abroad.

The committee informed him that the reconstruction work is expected to be completed by 2029, and the foundation work has already been finished. The temple is being designed under the guidance of noted architect Ashish Sompura, who is also associated with the Ram Temple in Ayodhya.

The delegation included Mahant Omprakash, committee secretary Pranay Kumar, members Praveen Kumar Verma and Ayodhya Das, along with architect Ashish Sompura.
