Jamshedpur, Nov 19: IIM Ranchi inaugurated a five-day Management Development Programme (MDP) for the principals and vice-principals of PM SHRI Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas (JNVs) from the Patna region.
The programme to be held from November 19-23, aims to enhance the leadership and management capabilities of school leaders, equipping them with the tools to address contemporary challenges and promote holistic development in their institutions.
Prof. Deepak Kumar Srivastava, director of IIM Ranchi, delivered the keynote address, emphasizing the importance of effective leadership in education.
He highlighted that this programme is designed to provide participants with hands-on learning, enabling them to implement forward-thinking strategies and manage diverse stakeholders effectively.

Comprehensive curriculum for transformative leadership
Prof. Amit Sachan, Dean Executive Education, IIM Ranchi, welcomed the participants, thanking them for their commitment to professional growth despite their busy schedules.
He provided an overview of the programme’s objectives, explaining that the sessions would focus on practical leadership skills that can be immediately applied in their schools.
The programme directors for this MDP are Prof. Santosh Kumar Prusty and Prof. Krishna Kumar Dadsena, IIM Ranchi.
The programme covers a wide array of topics, including strategic leadership, innovation culture, entrepreneurship, performance management, branding, and financial leadership.
Key focus areas include integrating emerging technologies such as AI in education, managing curriculum design in line with the New Education Policy (NEP), and fostering an entrepreneurial mindset within school communities.
Through a mix of interactive sessions, case studies, and group discussions, IIM Ranchi aims to provide participants with the knowledge and skills to foster excellence, drive innovation, and build resilient school systems.
