Dhanbad, Dec 13: Prof. Sourav Sengupta, a faculty member in the Department of Chemical Engineering at IIT (ISM), Dhanbad, has been selected for the prestigious IEI Young Engineers Award 2025.
Considered one of the most esteemed national recognitions for early-career engineers in India, the award is conferred by the Institution of Engineers (India).

It honours engineers below the age of 35 who have demonstrated exceptional achievements in engineering research, technology development, innovation, and technology transfer.
An official from IIT (ISM) said Prof. Sengupta’s selection for the nationally acclaimed award reflects his significant contributions to cutting-edge research and his strong commitment to advancing excellence in engineering.
Expressing pride in the achievement, the institute extended heartfelt congratulations to Prof. Sourav Sengupta for bringing laurels to IIT (ISM).
