Manama, Oct 24: India continued its dominance in Kabaddi at the 2025 Asian Youth Games in Manama, Bahrain, with both the boys’ and girls’ teams securing gold medals at Isa Sports City.
The girls’ team recorded a commanding 75-21 victory over Iran in the final, capping off an unbeaten campaign in the group stage.
Along the way, they defeated Bangladesh 46-18, Thailand 70-23, Sri Lanka 73-10, and Iran 59-26, finishing at the top of the group standings and earning their place in the gold medal match.

Meanwhile, the Indian boys’ squad also remained undefeated in the group phase, overcoming Bangladesh 83-19, Sri Lanka 89-16, Pakistan 81-26, Iran 46-29, Bahrain 84-40, and Thailand 85-30.
In a closely contested final against Iran, the boys edged out their opponents 35-32 to clinch the top podium spot.
Both teams’ victories underscore India’s continued supremacy in youth Kabaddi on the continental stage.
