Ghaziabad, Oct 8: The Indian Air Force is celebrating its 93rd Foundation Day (Air Force Day) on Wednesday. At the Hindon Air Base in Ghaziabad, 97 air fighters were honoured, including those who played a key role in Operation Sindoor, the air strike against Pakistan.

Earlier in the morning, the chiefs of the three armed forces and the Chief of Defence Staff paid tribute to the martyrs. Air Chief Marshal A.P. Singh addressed the nation, reaffirming that the Indian Air Force stands firmly prepared to face any challenge.

The Air Chief said that protecting the nation’s borders, ensuring the safety of citizens, and safeguarding military bases are the top priorities of the Air Force. Saluting the air warriors, he highlighted Operation Sindoor as a remarkable example of coordination among the armed forces, strong leadership, and indigenous capabilities.

He emphasized that Operation Sindoor proved how no challenge is insurmountable when the armed forces unite. The IAF has always served the people, and the efforts of its personnel during Operation Sindhu and Operation Brahma reflect the finest example of humanitarian service.
