PINAKI MAJUMDAR

Jamshedpur, April 11: Jharkhand is set to witness a steady rise in maximum temperatures over the next couple of days, signalling a return of warmer conditions across the state. According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), daytime temperatures are likely to increase by 2 to 3 degrees Celsius within the next 48 hours.

The change follows a short spell of relatively cooler weather caused by cloud cover, thunderstorms, and gusty winds. As the skies clear and dry conditions return, heat is expected to build up again, especially during the afternoon hours.

Warm conditions return after brief cool spell

Meteorologists have also indicated the possibility of warm winds blowing across several parts of the state during the day, which may increase discomfort for residents.

A key factor behind the current weather pattern is a trough extending from northeast Bihar to coastal Gangetic West Bengal at around 1.5 km above mean sea level. This system continues to affect atmospheric conditions over Jharkhand.

While no immediate extreme weather alert has been issued, residents are advised to remain cautious during peak afternoon hours, stay hydrated, and avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight as temperatures continue to rise.
