Bengaluru, June 29: Hockey India announced the 33-member Indian Women’s Hockey Team on Saturday, which will begin training in the two-month-long National Women’s Coaching Camp at SAI Bengaluru from July 1 to August 31.
Following the end of their FIH Hockey Pro League 2023/24 season in London and Antwerp, the Indian Women’s Hockey Team went on a brief break.
In Antwerp last month, India had lost all four of their matches against Argentina and Belgium. In London, they were defeated 1-3 by Germany and 2-4 by Great Britain.
Captain Salima Tete and Vice Captain Navneet Kaur led the team in close matches against Argentina, Belgium, Germany, and Great Britain in the FIH Pro League, where they displayed flashes of brilliance from time to time under Chief Coach Harendra Singh’s guidance.
