New Delhi, June 2: India’s total number of active COVID-19 cases has climbed to 3,961 as of 8 AM on Monday, June 2, according to the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.

Four more COVID-related deaths were reported since Sunday—one each from Delhi, Tamil Nadu, Maharashtra, and Kerala—pushing the nationwide death toll for the year to 32.

Kerala currently has the highest number of active cases, with the count rising to 1,435 after 35 fresh infections were logged. Maharashtra saw 21 new cases, raising its total active infections to 506.
Delhi followed with 47 new cases, bringing its active caseload to 483. In West Bengal, 44 new infections increased the number of active cases to 331.
Since Sunday, 203 new infections have been added to the national tally, contributing to the ongoing rise in active COVID-19 cases across multiple states.
