Ranchi, June 6: BJP president Nitin Nabin on Saturday said India’s youth would play a decisive role in nation-building and would not allow themselves to be influenced by what he termed negative politics. Addressing the ‘Prabuddha Jan Samvad’ programme on the theme ‘Viksit Bharat @ 2047’ at Carnival Banquet Hall in Dibdih, Ranchi, Nabin said the country’s young population would be known for innovation, creativity and discipline.

“India’s youth will engage in positive politics. We will register our dissent within the democratic framework, but we will not allow democratic norms to be weakened. The youth of this country will work towards nation-building and securing their future,” he said.

Nabin said some people were attempting to portray young Indians as anti-establishment, but the country’s youth were more focused on development, innovation and contributing to society.

“India’s youth are present in villages with farmers, in coaching institutes and on college campuses. They will not become puppets in the hands of a few people sitting in Delhi or abroad,” he said.

Viksit Bharat Vision Needs Collective Effort

Speaking on the BJP-led government’s vision of a developed India by 2047, Nabin said the goal could only be achieved through the participation of all sections of society.

He highlighted the country’s growing startup ecosystem, noting that India has more than two lakh active startups and over 125 unicorns.

“The youth are no longer just job seekers; they are becoming job creators,” he said.

Nabin added that major global technology and AI companies were increasingly looking at India as a hub for innovation and investment.

Welfare Schemes Have Changed Lives: Nabin

Highlighting the achievements of the Narendra Modi government, Nabin said welfare initiatives had improved the lives of millions across the country.

He claimed that more than 25 crore people had been lifted out of poverty and that 80 crore people were receiving free food grains under government schemes.

Referring to healthcare initiatives, he said the Ayushman Bharat scheme had helped ensure that families do not face financial ruin due to medical expenses.

He also highlighted the role of Jan Dhan accounts and Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) in ensuring that welfare benefits reach beneficiaries directly without leakages.

Focus on Farmers and Women

Nabin said the government was committed to improving the condition of farmers through efforts to increase income and promote organic farming.

He also underlined the importance of women’s empowerment, citing initiatives such as the creation of three crore “Lakhpati Didis,” the Ujjwala Yojana and the construction of toilets and houses for economically weaker families.

“The progress of one woman uplifts two families. Women are playing a major role in strengthening society and the nation,” he said.

No Compromise on National Security

Emphasising national security, Nabin said the Modi government had adopted a firm stance on issues affecting the country’s sovereignty.

“The government does not compromise on national security. India’s interests and security remain our top priority,” he said.

He also referred to improvements in infrastructure, railway modernisation, defence manufacturing and efforts to curb Left-wing extremism.

BJP Committed to Jharkhand’s Development

During his address, Nabin also reiterated the BJP’s commitment to Jharkhand’s development.

“We created Jharkhand, and we will shape its future. We must build the Jharkhand envisioned by Atal Bihari Vajpayee while preserving its heritage and culture,” he said.

BJP state president Aditya Sahu, who also addressed the gathering, said central government welfare schemes were reaching people across communities and helping advance the goal of a developed India by 2047.
