New Delhi, Dec 16: IndiGo Airlines has advised passengers travelling to and from Northern India to be prepared for possible delays, as winter fog in the early morning hours could affect flight operations.

The airline said it is closely tracking weather conditions and has readied its ground and operational teams to respond swiftly, assuring travellers that steps are being taken to limit inconvenience and keep waiting periods comfortable.

In its advisory, IndiGo noted that with winter setting in, foggy conditions may “occasionally slow down flight movements,” prompting passengers to check their flight status before leaving for the airport.

“As winter sets in, early mornings across Northern India can bring fog that may occasionally slow down flight movements. We wanted to share this gentle heads-up in advance, so you can plan with ease and check your flight status before heading to the airport,” IndiGo said in its statement.

The carrier added that it is making operational adjustments wherever feasible to ensure a smoother travel experience, thanking flyers for their “understanding” and continued “trust” as it works to manage weather-related challenges.

“Please be assured that our teams are well prepared and closely monitoring weather conditions. Wherever possible, we are making thoughtful adjustments on the ground to reduce inconvenience and ensure any waiting time is as comfortable as possible,” the statement added.
