Jamshedpur, March 24: The East Singhbhum district administration has stepped up preparations to ensure a smooth, secure, and well-coordinated celebration of Ram Navami and the upcoming Chaiti Chhath festival.
A high-level review meeting chaired by Deputy Commissioner Karn Satyarthi brought together officials from administrative departments and essential service agencies to assess readiness and streamline arrangements.
Focus on Security and Coordination
The Deputy Commissioner stressed that maintaining peace, communal harmony, and public convenience is the top priority. Police have been directed to identify sensitive areas and maintain strict vigilance, while quick response teams are being strengthened to handle any situation.

Authorities will conduct joint inspections of procession routes and immersion sites across urban and rural areas. Steps are being taken to remove overhead electrical hazards and construction obstacles, along with the installation of barricades and proper lighting.

Civic Services and Crowd Management
The administration has been instructed to ensure an uninterrupted supply of essential services, including drinking water, electricity, sanitation, healthcare, and emergency response.
Crowd management plans include deployment of volunteers, designated staging areas, and regulated use of sound systems. The district control room will function round-the-clock to monitor developments and address public grievances.
Surveillance, Restrictions and Emergency Preparedness
Security will be further strengthened through drone monitoring and video recording of processions. Preventive measures such as a temporary ban on liquor sales and restrictions on entry of heavy vehicles into the city have also been imposed.
Medical teams, ambulances, fire tenders, and recovery vehicles will be deployed at key locations, while alternative traffic routes are being planned to ensure smooth movement.
The administration is also coordinating with Akhara committees to ensure disciplined processions and availability of basic amenities like drinking water and sanitation.
Senior officials from police, civil administration, health services, municipal bodies, and industry representatives attended the meeting and reaffirmed their commitment to ensure safe and orderly celebrations.
