Push for MGNREGA to curb migration
To boost rural employment, Satyarthi directed officials to implement at least five MGNREGA schemes in each village to curb migration. He warned of strict action against irregularities such as fake job cards, muster rolls and payments.
Special camps will be organised on ‘Rozgar Diwas’ to update job cards and resolve pending issues.
Solar energy gets priority
Renewable energy was a key focus area, with instructions to expand awareness under the PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana in urban areas. In rural areas, solar solutions will be promoted for irrigation, street lighting and small enterprises.
The administration is also planning phased solar coverage of government buildings.
Focus on health, nutrition and education
Progress under Sampoornata Abhiyan 2.0 was also reviewed, with special focus on Musabani and Dumaria blocks to improve health, nutrition and education indicators through data-driven planning.
Senior district officials were present at the meeting.
