Jamshedpur, January 29: The historic Golmuri Golf Course is set to come alive with sporting elegance as it hosts the prestigious 48th Jubilee Golf Tournament on February 21 and 22, reaffirming Jamshedpur’s status as a major centre for golf tournaments in eastern India.
Reinforcing the city’s growing prominence on the Indian golfing map, the two-day championship will see participation from nearly 250 golfers from across the country, making it one of the most significant golf events in Jharkhand this year.
National Participation in Jamshedpur Golf Event
Golfers from Pune, Paradip, Bhubaneswar, Jamshedpur and Ranchi will compete across multiple categories, lending the tournament a strong national flavour and attracting attention from the Indian golfing community, sports enthusiasts and golf followers in Jharkhand.

The championship is being jointly organised by Golmuri Club and Jamshedpur Golf, with active support from Tata Steel and its allied institutions, highlighting Tata Steel’s continued support for sports development in Jamshedpur.
Tata Steel Officials and Dignitaries to Attend
Senior Tata Steel officials and prominent dignitaries from the Golmuri Club and Jamshedpur Golf will grace the Jubilee Golf Tournament. Among those expected to attend are D B Sundar Ramam, Vice President – Corporate Services, Tata Steel and Captain, Jamshedpur Golf; Ujjwal Chakravarty, Executive-in-Charge, Tinplate Division, Tata Steel Limited and Chairman, Golmuri Club; Rajesh Roshan, Secretary, Golmuri Club; and Neeraj Sinha, Chief – Safety, Tata Steel and Secretary, Jamshedpur Golf.
Also expected to be present are Alan Singh, CEO, Jamshedpur Golf; Abhijit Nanoti, Managing Director, JCAPCPL; and Varun Bajaj, Chief – Corporate Services, Tata Steel.
