Jamshedpur, Jan 31: Rajendra Vidyalaya’s former student Anya Das has become district collector of Sonepur district in Odisha.
By becoming the district collector at a comparatively young age, Anya has brought laurels not only to the school she had studied in but to people belonging to the Odiya community here.
Daughter of an eminent writer, Badal Bhuyan, Anya had secured 60th rank in UPSC exam in the year 2019 and became an IAS officer in the Odisha cadre.
Prior to succeeding in the prestigious competitive exam, Anya had successfully cracked the exam of the Indian Railway Service in 2017 and had served the Railways for two years.

While doing her schooling in the Rajendra Vidyalaya, the talented girl had set her goal to become an IAS and had started building her academic pursuits accordingly. Later having completed the +Two from the school, she took admission to the Revansa College in Cuttack where she did her graduation in English Honours.
During her schooling and graduation, Anya had participated in numerous debate and essay competitions and had earned accolades by winning prizes in all such competitions that she participated in.
“It is not a surprise for me to see my daughter becoming a district collector as I already knew she become a successful person given her talent and perseverance that I had seen in her from the very childhood, ” observed a proud Badal Bhuyan while talking to The Jharkhand Story.
