Dhanbad, Feb 13: East Central Railway (ECR) Zone has cancelled 14 important trains of the Dhanbad route of the Grand Chord line from February 15 to February 23 in the wake of non-interlocking work for the third track at Son Nagar Junction between Gaya- Pt Deen Dayal Upadhyay Rail Section.
A senior official of Dhanbad Rail Division giving this information said that besides the cancellation of 14 express trains route of 22 trains which cross through Grand Chord Line has been diverted.
The trains that have been diverted from the Dhanbad route of the Grand Chord Line including Jammu Tawi Express, Sealdah- Ajmer Express, Howrah- Kalka Express, Netaji Express and others would run via Main Line Asansol, Jasidih and Jhajha.
Following the cancellation of these long-route trains, thousands of passengers who had booked tickets had to face hardship.

The trains that have been cancelled from February 15 to 23 are:
Train No. 03341/ 03342 Barkakana-Dehri on Sone up and down
Train no. 033 59 Barkakana – Varanasi MEMU passenger special up and down
Train. No. 03311 Barbadih- Dehri on Sone Passenger special up and down
Train no. 18635 Ranchi – Sasaram Express will be cancelled from February 14 to 17 and February 19 to 23
Train no 18636 Sasaram Express will be cancelled from February 15 to 18 and February 20 to 24
Train no. 18611 Ranchi- Banaras Express will be cancelled on February 15 to 17 and February 19, 20 and 22
Train no 18612 Baranas- Ranchi Express will be cancelled from February 16 to 18 and 20, 21 and 23.
