Seraikela, March 23: The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) in Jharkhand arrested an LRDC office employee, Pritam Acharya, and a broker while allegedly accepting a bribe of ₹5 lakh in Seraikela on Monday.
According to reports, the accused had demanded ₹40 lakh from a complainant to resolve a land compensation matter and submit a report in his favour. The ₹5 lakh was part of the first instalment.
Caught Red-Handed During Sting Operation
The complainant reached near the LRDC office with the agreed money, while the ACB team had already laid a trap. As soon as the money was handed over, officials apprehended both the accused on the spot.

Both individuals are currently being interrogated, and further legal action is underway.
Action Sparks Buzz in Offices
The operation has created a stir in government offices in the region, as the ACB continues its crackdown on corruption cases across Jharkhand.
