Ranchi, August 4: Following the demise of Dishom Guru Shibu Soren, the ongoing Monsoon Session of the Jharkhand Assembly has been adjourned indefinitely.
As soon as the House convened on Monday, Speaker Rabindranath Mahto, in his condolence message, said that the day was one of immense grief and sorrow for everyone.

He further stated that Guruji, a great leader, mentor, pioneer of the Jharkhand movement, former Chief Minister, former Union Minister, and sitting Rajya Sabha MP, passed away on Monday morning.

Mahto described Soren as the leader who lifted Jharkhand’s marginalized communities from darkness into the light of rights and dignity. His passing, he said, is an irreparable loss not only for Jharkhand but for the entire nation.
The Speaker noted that Shibu Soren was widely known for raising his voice against injustice in political and social spheres.

Expressing deep sorrow over his demise, he said, “Baba is no more with us.” Following this, the Speaker adjourned the proceedings of the House indefinitely.
During the session, slogans of “Shibu Soren Amar Rahe” echoed in the Assembly.
