Ranchi, Dec 15: The BJP MLAs created a stir on Day 1 of the winter session outside the Jharkhand Assembly, raising a demand for a CBI probe into the cash haul of Rs 500 recovered from the premises linked to Congress MP Dheeraj Sahu.
Illegal mining scam fund
They were raising whether Rs 500 crores have come from the scams related to illegal mining of stone, coal, and sand or transfer-posting. BJP state president Babulal Marandi has already alleged that the money recovered from Sahu’s premises belonged to the top Congress leaders and Chief Minister Hemant Soren.
During protests, the BJP MLAs demanded a CBI investigation. Anant Ojha, Biranchi Narayan, Neera Yadav, Raj Sinha, Jaiprakash Bhai Patel, Samri Lal and Dhullu Mahto were present during the uproar.
IT yet to comment on recovery: Minister
Meanwhile, Minister Mithilesh Thakur said that the Income Tax Department had not said anything explicit about the matter till now.
“On the other hand, the BJP is demanding the arrest of Dheeraj Sahu. The BJP government controls central agencies like Income Tax, ED, and CBI at the Centre. It seems that now, the BJP does not even trust these agencies. There is only one way for this. BJP should appoint its leaders to the posts of directors and officers of these central agencies from Delhi to Ranchi,” he said
