Ranchi, January 27: BJP president JP Nadda today appointed Jharkhand Rajya Sabha member Deepak Prakash as co-in-charge for Lok Sabha elections in Bihar. Vinod Tawde has been appointed as the election in-charge.
Former Ranchi Mayor Asha Lakra has been appointed co-in-charge in Bengal.
Prakash earlier held the post of the Jharkhand BJP president before Babulal Marandi.
He has also held the posts of vice-president and secretary in BJP’s Jharkhand unit.
Deepak Prakash had been initially connected with the Akhil Bhartiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) during his early days and was a member of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) since 1973.
