Ranchi, August 17: Chief Minister Hemant Soren met the family members of late Havildar Chauhan Hembrom of the Hazaribagh district force at his residential office on Kanke Road, Ranchi, today.
The Chief Minister expressed deep condolences to Havildar Chauhan Hembrom’s wife, Jomoti Devi, son, Mahesh Hembrom, daughter, Swati Hembrom, and other family members.
Notably, Chauhan Hembrom, a resident of Village Pindatard, Police Station Taratard in Giridih district, who was serving as a Havildar in the Hazaribagh district force, was brutally murdered by a criminal while on duty on August 12, 2024.
CM assures late havildar’s family of justice
Chief Minister Hemant Soren assured the family that they would receive justice. He informed them that the state government had given strict instructions to the DGP and senior police officers to ensure that the culprit is arrested promptly and given the harshest punishment, preventing such incidents from occurring in the future.
The Chief Minister, while consoling the family, emphasized that the state government stands with them in this difficult time and assured them of all possible assistance.
MLA Kalpana Soren also expressed her condolences to the family of late Havildar Chauhan Hembrom and consoled them.

Late Hembrom’s dependent will get job on compassionate grounds
Chief Minister Hemant Soren announced that a member of late Havildar Chauhan Hembrom’s family would be given a government job. The Chief Minister assured the family that the process for appointment in either Class 3 or Class 4 positions on compassionate grounds would be completed soon, and directives have already been issued to the officials for this purpose.
Dependent family will be provided with nearly Rs 1.29 crore by Jharkhand govt
Following the death of Havildar Chauhan Hembrom of the Hazaribagh district force while on duty, the state government will provide approximately Rs 1.29 crore to his dependent family members.
The breakdown of the payable amount is as follows: Rs 60 lakh as compensation payment under the Home, Prison, and Disaster Management Department’s Resolution No. 4179 dated 09.07.24, Rs 50 lakh as a benefit through the police salary package provided by SBI, Rs 11.25 lakh as gratuity, Rs 5.62 lakh as earned leave salary, Rs 1 lakh from the Provident Fund, Rs 37,000 from group insurance, Rs 30,000 as necessary financial assistance from the Welfare Fund, and a family pension of Rs 9,000.
