THE JHARKHAND STORY NETWORK
Ranchi, April 11: On the sacred soil of Bhognadih, Chief Minister Hemant Soren reaffirmed his government’s unwavering commitment to the empowerment of Jharkhand’s tribals, Dalits, and backward communities. Marking Amar Veer Shaheed Sido-Kanhu Murmu Jayanti, the Chief Minister declared that economic, social, and educational development of these communities remains a top priority.

Honouring Ancestral Sacrifices
“Our ancestors fought tirelessly for their rights and for the preservation of our water, forests, and land,” said the Chief Minister. “Today, we’re honouring their sacrifices by recognising the families of these brave martyrs and ensuring they receive the respect and rights they deserve.”
He acknowledged the persistent challenges faced by marginalised groups who, due to historical neglect, have been left behind socially, economically and politically. “Our government is working from all angles to reverse this injustice.”

‘Abua Sarkar’ at Your Doorstep
Highlighting his administration’s proactive approach, the Chief Minister proudly spoke of the “Abua Sarkar” initiative. Since 2019, the government has focused on decentralising services, ensuring officials reach people directly in their own villages and panchayats.

Gone are the days when the elderly had to make tedious trips to government offices for pensions or ration cards. Today, support is delivered efficiently and directly, ensuring dignity and ease for all citizens.
Modernising Education, Empowering Futures
Education remains a cornerstone of the government’s development agenda. The Chief Minister noted the establishment of 80 Chief Minister Utkrishta Vidyalayas under the CBSE curriculum, which are now in high demand. Thousands of children are applying for limited spots—testament to the growing trust in public education.
Additionally, the government continues to sponsor overseas education for talented students through the prestigious Marang Gomke Jaipal Singh Munda Overseas Scholarship, supporting 25 scholars annually.
Transformative Projects and Economic Empowerment
A major highlight of the day was the unveiling of 507 development schemes worth ₹437.86 crore across Sahibganj, Pakur, and Godda districts. Of these, 361 projects were inaugurated, and the foundation was laid for 147 more.
Assets and appointment letters worth ₹130.92 crore were also distributed among over 3.14 lakh beneficiaries, reflecting the government’s tangible focus on grassroots development.
A Gathering of Dignitaries
The ceremony was attended by several prominent leaders, including MP Vijay Kumar Hansda, MLAs Hemlal Murmu, Kalpana Soren, Mohammad Tajuddin and Dhananjay Soren, along with senior administrative and police officials from the Santhal Pargana region.
