Jharkhand CM Champai Soren’s first gift: 125 MW of free power     

After assuming the post of Chief Minister of Jharkhand, Champai Soren today visited his native village Jillinggora in Gamharia block of Seraikela-Kharsawan district for the first time. On this occasion, the villagers greeted and welcomed him traditionally. Soren paid emotional tribute by garlanding the statues of immortal brave martyrs- Diba-Kishun ji and Jageshwar Tudu ji here. He offered prayers with traditional rituals at Sarna Puja place - Jahersthan and wished for the state's progress and happiness, peace and prosperity of the people of the state.

Ranchi, February 7: The electricity consumers in Jharkhand will now get 125 MW units free instead of 100 MW. 

Holding a meeting with all the top officials today, Soren directed the Energy Department to prepare a proposal and added that electricity will be supplied to all the deprived tolas.

“There should be a permanent waiting list for the Abua Housing Scheme,” he said and asked the officials to remove all the discrepancies in this scheme immediately. 

He also directed the health department to ensure the presence of doctors in all government hospitals.

He also directed the education department to complete the appointment of teachers for tribal languages. 

Guruji Credit Card

Soren said the initiative to provide Guruji Credit Card to all the students of class 12th should be started soon.

The chief minister also directed repairing roads older than five years. Officials said that 15,000 kilometres of rural roads in the state must be repaired. In this, approval has been given to improve 9000 kilometres of road.

Sido-Kanhu Club

The chief minister asked to complete the process of formation of the Sido-Kanhu Club soon. 

He took information about various departments’ budgetary provisions and actual receipts and expenditures on this occasion. He also reviewed the schemes run by various departments and gave necessary instructions to the officers.

Instructions to speed up work

The chief minister directed all the departments to speed up the work of various schemes so that the maximum number of people could benefit from them.

He also asked them to complete all the schemes related to public interest on time.

In this meeting, Chief Secretary L. Khiangte, Development Commissioner-cum-Additional Chief Secretary Avinash Kumar, Additional Chief Secretary Rajeev Arun Ekka, Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister Vinay Kumar Choubey, and Additional Chief Secretaries/Principal Secretaries/Secretaries of various departments were present.
