Ranchi, Dec 23: Chief Minister Hemant Soren has instructed authorities to expedite the investigation into controversies and complaints related to the JSSC-CGL examination, in line with the directions of the Jharkhand High Court.
At a high-level review meeting, the CM emphasised the need for an impartial investigation. He directed officials to examine the irregularities and complaints that arose during the conduct of the examination, as well as the uproar following the announcement of the results. He stressed that strict action must be taken against anyone found guilty.
Online Competitive Examinations to Prevent Irregularities
The Chief Minister highlighted the ongoing large-scale recruitment in the state and underscored the need to transition to online competitive examinations. “Conducting exams online will reduce the scope for irregularities in recruitment processes,” he said. He noted that adopting Computer-Based Testing (CBT) could significantly curb issues like paper leaks while saving time and addressing the challenges posed by offline exams.
Boosting Revenue Collection
The CM urged departments to accelerate revenue collection efforts, ensuring that the targets set for the fiscal year are met. He instructed officials to identify and explore new revenue sources while addressing tax collection challenges.
To streamline the process, he called for better coordination between revenue-related departments. He also directed the establishment of an enforcement system to detect and curb fake registrations and invoices under the Commercial Tax Department.

Jharkhand Chief Minister Maiyaan Samman Yojana
The Chief Minister announced that women beneficiaries from across the state will participate in the Jharkhand Chief Minister Maiyaan Samman Yojana program, scheduled for December 28 in Namkum, Ranchi.
He emphasized the importance of ensuring that beneficiaries do not face any difficulties during the event. Under this scheme, an honorarium of ₹2,500 per month will be directly transferred to beneficiaries via DBT (Direct Benefit Transfer).
Tackling Violence and Atrocities Against Women
The CM reviewed cases related to the POCSO Act, domestic violence, atrocities against women, human trafficking, and migration, issuing critical instructions to officers. He called for:
- Enhanced safety measures for women.
- Awareness campaigns in schools and colleges.
- Intensive police patrolling in rural and urban areas.
- Impartial investigation of complaints and FIRs, with strict action against offenders.
The CM also emphasized the importance of monitoring migration and ensuring migrants voluntarily register to access government schemes.
Additionally, he directed the development of a state-level integrated app that combines helpline numbers and services provided by various government departments. The app should be widely publicized to ensure citizens are aware of it and can benefit from it. He also mandated the preparation of monthly reports on complaints of violence against women and the actions taken in response.
Addressing Corruption in Circle Offices
The CM expressed concern over the growing number of complaints related to land disputes, particularly corruption in circle offices during mutation processes. He called for concrete steps to tackle these issues and instructed officials to take action against corrupt officers, staff, and land brokers involved in such activities.

Chief Secretary Alka Tiwari, Additional Chief Secretary to the CM Avinash Kumar, and Director General of Police Anurag Gupta were among several senior officers who attended the meeting.
