Ranchi, Dec 14: Chief Minister Hemant Soren today attended a program held in Bhognadih, Barhait block, Sahebganj district during which he announced major development projects for Sahebganj and Pakur, inaugurated and laid the foundation stone for various schemes.
On this occasion, the Chief Minister announced development projects worth approximately ₹247.84 crore for Sahibganj district. A total of 224 development projects were inaugurated and laid the foundation for, including the inauguration of 53 projects and the foundation stone laying for 171 projects.
Similarly, for Pakur district, the Chief Minister announced projects worth approximately ₹100.84 crore. In total, 107 development projects were inaugurated and the foundation stone was laid, including the inauguration of 34 projects and the foundation stone laid for 73 projects.
Empowerment of tribals, locals, farmers, laborers, poor top priority
During his address, he said that the empowerment of tribals, locals, farmers, laborers, the poor, and the underprivileged is a top priority for his government. His administration has worked to empower half of the state’s population. Now, every eligible, needy woman in the state will receive a monthly honorarium of ₹2,500 directly in their accounts.

The Chief Minister stated that the honorarium for women, which was previously ₹1,000, has been increased to ₹2,500 by the government.
He added, “After the re-establishment of the Abua government, I have come among you today. You actively participated in the elections and chose the Abua government. I express my heartfelt gratitude to all of you for this.”
Govt’s welfare schemes benefiting people
The Chief Minister stated that despite Jharkhand being rich in mineral resources, the tribals and locals of the state were deprived of basic facilities. “Since the formation of our government, we have been consistently working to protect the interests of the people while focusing on public welfare initiatives,” he said.
“In this regard, our government has launched several ambitious welfare schemes, ensuring their reach to every individual. With the aim of benefiting as many residents of the state as possible through these schemes, our government is moving forward with determination,” he added.
Our Govt is a village-oriented govt
Chief Minister Hemant Soren stated that his government is a village-oriented government, shaping development based on the needs of the poor, laborers, and marginalized sections of society. He emphasized, “I will not let your hopes and aspirations be shattered.”
He added that his government will write a new chapter of development and elevate this state to the ranks of leading states. Expressing his wishes for the coming New Year, the Chief Minister said, “I pray to God that the New Year brings happiness, prosperity, progress, wealth, and well-being to the lives of every resident of the state.”
