Ranchi, July 6: Chief Minister Hemant Soren today promised full support to the industries and those setting up the industries in Jharkhand.
Addressing the ‘Srijan’ Startup Conclave organized by the Federation of Jharkhand Chamber of Commerce and Industries in the Aryabhatta Auditorium of Ranchi University campus, he said that the government has positive thinking towards all the industries in the state and whatever new industries are going to come.
“There should be maximum investment in the state. More and more employment opportunities should be created,” he said.

Economic, social and geographical conditions of Jharkhand
The Chief Minister told the Chambers that there are many industries in Jharkhand which are years old. “Generation after generation of entrepreneurs are doing business here. All of them have been seeing the changing face of Jharkhand. They are well aware of the economic, social and geographical conditions here. Others cannot understand this state as well as they can. In such a situation, we aim to develop the state in all aspects together with you,” he said.

Government will cooperate to promote start-ups
The Chief Minister said that the state government has made a startup policy. “However, startups in this state are a little behind in the promotion they should have received. However, the government will soon take concrete steps to strengthen and promote startups. The government will move forward with the thought that youth should get employment through startups and also provide employment to others,” he said.
Foundation for industries
The Chief Minister said that after Independence, the policymakers of the country understood the importance of this state. “As a result, many big industries were established in our state. Many industrial groups like Tata and Birla set up their industries. Most of the activities of Coal India are being conducted in this state. The country’s first fertilizer industry, mining institute and ‘Heavy Engineering Corporation Limited (HEC), famous as the mother of the industries, are also established in our state. But as time progressed the circumstances became such that many industries here were closed. The industries which were supposed to expand kept shrinking. Due to this, people also became unemployed,” he pointed out.
“So, our government wants to lay such a foundation for industries, which can benefit people generation after generation. Whatever suggestion the Jharkhand Chambers will have, it will be implemented positively and will be fully supported,” he assured.
