Ranchi, July 8: The voting process on the confidence motion has started in the special session of the Jharkhand Assembly. 45 members have expressed confidence in Hemant Soren.

Chamra Linda and Lobin Hembrom also supported the government. JP Patel was absent, and Saryu Rai remained neutral.

Hemant Soren secured the confidence motion with 45 votes amid the opposition’s walkout.

Before the Hemant government’s floor test, the opposition party BJP’s MLAs started protesting outside the Assembly premises. During this time, all the opposition MLAs raised slogans against the Hemant Soren led government.
