Ranchi, Oct 1: Chief Minister Hemant Soren today laid the foundation stone of 50 development schemes online, including three big gifts in the field of health, road transport and energy, in a programme organised at Chandipur in Chandankyari block of Bokaro district.
The chief minister laid the foundation stone of a 500-bed medical college and hospital here. He also laid the foundation stone of a 500 MW solar power station at Tenughat Thermal Power Station Lalpania and a railway overbridge in Patratu of Ramgarh district online.
Struggle of displaced people
Speaking on this occasion, Soren said that displacement has always been a big problem in Jharkhand. “Here land is acquired for industries. But those who are displaced do not get their rights for years. Generations after generations of displaced people continue to struggle for their legitimate rights,” he said.
“In many cases, it seems that with the establishment of factories, the displaced people disappear somewhere. Our government is well aware of the pain and suffering of the displaced people. In such a situation, the state government is with them so that they get their rights,” he said.
