Ranchi, Feb 7: Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren, along with his wife Kalpana Soren, offered prayers at the renowned Maa Kamakhya temple in Assam on the occasion of their wedding anniversary.

Taking to social media, he wrote, “I wish that Maa Kamakhya blesses everyone with a happy, prosperous, and healthy life.”

Kalpana Soren, who has emerged as a strong political figure, continues to inspire party workers despite the personal and political challenges posed by her husband’s legal battles. Her leadership and active involvement in state politics have significantly influenced the party’s direction.

She entered politics in 2024 when Hemant Soren was jailed and quickly took charge of election campaigns. She played a key role in the Lok Sabha elections and later became the party’s star campaigner in the assembly elections. Contesting from the Gandey seat in the 2024 by-election, she won and was elected as an MLA. This time, too, she secured a victory from Gandey, reaffirming her growing influence in state politics.

Kalpana Soren’s rise has not only strengthened the party but also reshaped Jharkhand’s political landscape, making her a leader to watch in the coming years.
