Jharkhand: Congress reviews poll preparedness in Deoghar, Godda

Deoghar, Dec. 26: A meeting of Deoghar assembly-level workers was held today in the party office under the chairmanship of district president Prof. Uday Prakash.

State Vice President Krishnanand Jha, the former minister and convenor of Godda Lok Sabha, participated as the chief guest in the meeting.

Addressing the workers, he said that the backbone of the Congress is the party- workers, who strengthen the organisation and take forward the party’s policy principles.

He added that youth is the next generation’s foundation, which must be adequately prepared.

He also claimed that Congress can bring together different castes, religions, languages and communities of the country.

Congress legislative party’s deputy leader, Pradeep Yadav, also participated in the meeting and reviewed the block, city, division panchayat, and ward-level organisations.

During the review, it was found that 85 to 90 per cent of the organisation’s people were present, which was appreciated by Pradeep Yadav.

Addressing the workers, MLA Pradeep Yadav said, “We have to win the upcoming Lok Sabha, in which the workers have to play the role of a mighty army.

INDIA alliance 

“Our leader, Rahul Gandhi, is working hard and giving a new message to the country. An atmosphere of change has been created in the country. The INDIA alliance will also win Godda Lok Sabha,” he said.

He said that seat distribution and candidate selection will be decided at the national level.

“We are working as a soldier of Congress. The ideology of the party has to be taken forward. We have to go to the booth level and prepare a booth committee. Whatever is lacking in the organisation’s work must be completed soon. Panchayat and ward-level workers should put the party flag on their respective homes, which they have been able to do until the country’s biggest rally is to be held in Nagpur on the 139th foundation day of the party. Here, too, we will celebrate Foundation Day with great pomp,” Yadav said.

District 20-Point Vice President Congress leader Munnam Sanjay said that workers run the organisation and are the party’s backbone.

State spokesperson Rajendra Das, senior leader Ashok Verma, and State Secretary Nageshwar Singh also expressed their views on the organisation and their duties at the meeting.

General Secretary Dinesh Kumar Mandal conducted the meeting, and District Congress’s Ziaul Hasan, Amit Kumar Pandey, City President Ravi Keshari, and many other workers were present.
