Dhanbad, Jan 3: Twenty-four members of the Dhanbad district squad have been announced for the Jharkhand inter-district cross-country race scheduled at Seraikela on January 7.
Announcing the team names for different age groups, Dhanbad District Athletics Association general secretary Bandhan Toppo said that players have been selected for the state championship on performance in the district championship.
“Dhanbad squad will leave for Seraikela on January 6,” said Bandhan Toppo.

The selected athletes are:
Under-16 Jeevan Kumar, Sanny Pandit, Under-18 Keshav Kumar, Suraj Kumar, Under-20 Rohit Kumar Mahto, Motilal Mahto, Vikash Kumar, Saurav Kumar, Sumit Kumar Yadav.
Men’s team– Vijay Rai, Arun Kumar Rai, Anurag Kumar, Manik Chandra Tudu.
Girls under-16 – Riya Kumari, Jaya Kumari, Girls under-18– Tannu Kumari Annu Kumari, Girls under-20- Riya Kumari, Ranjan Kumari.
Women’s team– Roma Mahto, Rubi Kumari, Roshan Kumari, Arti Kumari and Priyanka Kumari.
