Leaders hand over memorandum to CMS
After the demonstration, employees sat on a dharna in front of the Divisional Hospital at 10 am and continued till 2 pm. Later, a delegation of senior leaders handed over a memorandum to Chief Medical Superintendent (CMS) Dr DL Chourasia for early solution to health service problems.

Pathology, diagnostic tests defunct
On the occasion, while addressing Md Ziauddin charged that the health centres of division including Divisional Hospital are reeling under acute deficiencies. “There is no doctor at the health centre. There is a dearth of medicines. Pathology and diagnostic tests are completely defunct. Patients have to go to private clinics for an ultrasound and even ambulance does not reach in emergency”, he said.

The ECRKU’s additional general secretary said several employees are suffering from serious diseases. Despite repeated requests, the hospital management does not conduct medical check-ups of sick employees. The employees have to face hardship in getting referred to tied-up private hospitals. Such a situation has compelled the employees to go on a stir path.
ECRKU divisional spokesperson NK Khawas said besides the central leaders all branch secretaries also addressed the employees during dharna.
