Getting information, Deputy Commissioner (DC) Barun Ranjan, Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Sanjiv Kumar along with other senior officials reached the jail and began an investigation into the incident.
Coincidently, the court of first class judicial magistrate Shivam Chourasia had on Saturday ( December 2) issued a releasing order for Aman Singh after police failed to produce facts of his involvement in a murder case.
Uttar Pradesh STF had arrested Aman Singh near Mirzapur Jail ( Uttar Pradesh) in May 2021.
He was one of the accused in the Dhanbad deputy mayor Neeraj Singh murder case (March 21, 2017) besides extortion demands from traders of the Dhanbad and Bokaro districts.
Firing in jail looks surprising as 10 days ago the DC, SSP and other senior officials had made a sudden inspection of the Dhanbad jai and did not find any arms in it.
