Jharkhand Governor praises Amrit Bharat Station Scheme

Jamshedpur, Feb 26: Jharkhand governor C.P. Radhakrishnan was in all praise for the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme.

He was attending a function organised at the Tatanagar railway station on the occasion of the redevelopment of 553 railway stations and laying of foundation stone/inauguration/dedication to the nation of 1500 road overbridges/underpasses under ‘Amrit Bharat Station Scheme’ by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Radhakrishnan acknowledges PM’s commitment to Railway infrastructure development and cleanliness

Expressing his gratitude to the Prime Minister, Radhakrishnan said that ‘Amrit Bharat Station Scheme’ reflects a comprehensive commitment towards efficiency and infrastructure development of the Indian railways network.

He said that the Indian Railways network is one of the largest and most developed systems globally, which plays an important role in the movement of people and goods across the country.

The governor said that the notable initiatives of the Prime Minister like ‘Swachh Bharat Abhiyan’ have led to significant improvements in the cleanliness and efficiency of railway stations, platforms, waiting areas and station premises.

“The Prime Minister is committed to developing the railway network in Jharkhand. The redevelopment of Tatanagar and other railway stations in Jharkhand is a meaningful step in this direction,” he said.

The governor went on to say that initiatives like ‘Amrit Bharat Station Yojana’ are an important effort towards Developed India @2047.

Governor honours competition winners and visits Annamrit Foundation

On this occasion, the governor also rewarded the successful participants of various competitions organized at South Eastern Railway High School, Tatanagar on the topic ‘Developed India of 2047 by Developed Railways’.

After this program, the governor went to the Annamrit Foundation and saw the working there and also planted trees.

Notably, a mid-day meal is provided to government school students by the Annamrit Foundation.
