Villagers support project
A large number of villagers were present during the Gram Sabha, most of whom were in support of the project. At the same time, some villagers also expressed their disagreement over their rehabilitation and compensation. On this occasion, officials from the district administration conducted the Gram Sabha and recorded the villagers’ requests.
Magistrate Deepak Kumar Dubey, Circle Officer Baleshwar Ram, CI Anuj Kumar, Revenue Officer Ashish Kumar, Jitendra Kumar, and Station Officer Vinod Tirkey were on the spot.
Employment opportunities
According to officials of the Mining Department, the state government will get a revenue of about Rs 600 crore every year from the start of Adani Enterprises’ Gondalpura mining project. In addition, five to ten thousand people in the Hazaribag district will also get direct and indirect employment opportunities. Once coal mining starts here, the smuggling of illegal coal will also be curbed, which will cause the government to gain substantial revenue benefits and boost public welfare programs.
Notably, Jharkhand is one of the major coal-producing states in India and mines equipped with modern technology will maintain a balance between the interests of the state’s environment and economy.
