Ranchi, June 9: The Jharkhand High Court has granted bail to Kohram, the regional commander of the banned extremist (Naxal) outfit TSPC, who faces charges in a terror funding case linked to the Magadh-Amrapali coal project in Tandwa, Chatra district, along with several other serious criminal cases.

The bail pertains to a case registered at Chatra Sadar police station (case number 390/17).

The matter was heard by a division bench comprising Justice Rongon Mukhopadhyay and Justice Pradeep Kumar Srivastava. Advocate Sourav Kumar represented Kohram, while Advocate Nehala Sharmin appeared on behalf of the state government.

During the hearing, the state counsel informed the court that over 37 serious cases are pending against Kohram. However, the court granted bail on the grounds that other co-accused in this case had already been granted bail earlier.
