Ranchi, April 9: The division bench of the Jharkhand High Court heard the plea for the announcement of municipal elections within three weeks by the state government, which was earlier ordered by the single bench.
In the hearing, the court issued notices to all parties.
On Tuesday, a hearing was held on the LPA (Latest Patent Appeal) filed by the state government against this order.
A bench comprising Justice S. Chandrashekhar and Justice Navneet Kumar heard the case.

Additional Advocate General Sachin Kumar represented the state government.
The current councilors, including Roshni Khalkho and others, had approached the High Court demanding early elections for municipal corporations and municipalities.
Justice Ananda Sen of the High Court had passed an order in this matter on January 4.
