The court has asked what actions the SIT has taken against the land mafia. Additionally, the court has also sought a response from the Dhanbad Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) regarding the deteriorating law and order situation in Dhanbad district. The court has directed them to submit a report within two weeks.

The court has inquired about the steps being taken to improve the law and order situation in the district. It’s worth noting that land mafias had attempted to seize the land of retired Supreme Court Justice late MY  Eqbal, and after the news related to this was published, the High Court took suo motu cognizance of the matter and converted it into a public interest litigation (PIL).
