Ranchi, Dec 31: The Jharkhand government has posted IAS officer Chhavi Ranjan (2011 batch) as Mission Director, National Health Mission (NHM), Jharkhand, weeks after he was granted bail by the Supreme Court in connection with the alleged land scam case.
The posting was notified in an official transfer order issued by the Department of Personnel, Administrative Reforms and Rajbhasha on Wednesday.
Posting After Bail
Chhavi Ranjan, who had been in judicial custody in the land scam case, was recently granted bail by the Supreme Court. Following his release, the state government has now assigned him an active administrative role, appointing him to head the National Health Mission in Jharkhand.

Other Key IAS Transfers
The same order includes several other IAS transfers and postings across the secretariat, district administration and urban local bodies.
Amitabh Kaushal (2001 batch) has been transferred and posted as Excise Secretary.
Amit Kumar (2010 batch) has been posted as Secretary, Commercial Tax Department, Jharkhand.
Rajiv Ranjan (2010 batch) has been posted as Member, Revenue Board.
Abu Imran (2010 batch) has been appointed as Secretary (Expenditure), Finance Department, Jharkhand.
District and Field-Level Postings
At the field level, several officers of the 2021 batch have been posted to district boards and municipal corporations, including postings in West Singhbhum, Dhanbad and Hazaribagh.
Probationary IAS officers have been posted as Sub-Divisional Officers in Ranchi, Dhanbad, Hazaribagh, Jamshedpur and Seraikela-Kharsawan, with executive magistrate powers under the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023.
