Jharkhand IMA-MSN holds webinar on mental well-being

 

Dhanbad, Oct 17: The Jharkhand chapter of the IMA – Medical Students Network (MSN), in collaboration with Manobal Sahyog, organized an awareness webinar on the theme “Community Supporting Mental Well-being Together.”

Dr. Vidit Singh and Prof. (Dr.) Nishant Goyal from the Central Institute of Psychiatry (CIP), Ranchi, served as the chief speakers. Both experts shared valuable insights on mental well-being, emphasizing the importance of early intervention and the need to build supportive communities that prioritize emotional health.

Anushri Baral, co-convener of MSN Jharkhand from Mahatma Gandhi Memorial Medical College Hospital, stated that the webinar was organized as part of Mental Health Week 2025. The session was attended by around 100 participants, including medical students, professionals, and mental health advocates.

Special appreciation was extended to Aman, Raja Babu, Aakansha, Dr. Thakur Siddhant (President, Jharkhand Medical Students Network), and Pratik for their efforts in organizing the event successfully.

Baral added that the session concluded with a resolution to continue spreading awareness, breaking the stigma around mental health, and promoting empathy, aiming for a healthier and more compassionate society.
