Consumers urged to use electricity responsibly

Shambhu Nath Choudhury has urged domestic consumers to use electricity rationally like leaving no electric bulb on in the day.

Sources said there are houses where electric bulbs remain lit even in the day.

Warning against fraudulent offers

Choudhury said, “We have heard that youths are roaming around convincing domestic consumers that they would facilitate in getting their electricity bills waived for which they are seeking premium.”

“This is all fake. Just have your domestic billing below 200 units and it is set to be waived automatically. It is as simple as that. Don’t allow any such dubious youth enter your house” advised the executive engineer of electricity Shambhu Nath Choudhury.
