Dhanbad, March 18: 60-member Dhanbad boys and girls squads for different age groups have been announced for the Jharkhand State Junior Athletics Championship, which will be held in Deoghar from March 20 to 22.

Giving this information, former national athlete and secretary of Dhanbad District Athletics Association (DDAA)  Bandhan Toppo said that athletes had been selected for the state championships based on their performance in the district meet.

Jayaram Bhagat is coach

National athlete Jayaram Bhagat has been made coach of the team. The team would leave for Deoghar tomorrow.

DDAA president Kiran Rani Nayak, treasurer Zubair Alam, Tarak Nath Das, Sunil Mishra, Sujapa Thakur, Pradip Kumar, PM Banarji, Arvind Tiwari, and Gautam Mahto have congratulated selected athletes and expressed hope that they will bring laurels for the district in the state championship.

Girls under 20: Riya Kumari, Pinki Kumari, Nirmla Kumari, Soni Rawani, Rubi Kumari, Rajeswari Singh, Karishma Prasad.

Girls under-18– Kajal Kumari, Tanu Kumari, Anjali Kumari , Lakshmi Kumari, Karishma Prasad, Bhumika Roy, Nirjla Kumari.

Girls under -16– Reshmi Khatoon, Sanya Parveen, Kiran Kumari, Jaya Kumari, Monika kumara, Rinki Kumari, Komal Kumari,  Nilam Kumari, Pratima Singh, Sharda Hansda, Neha Kumari, Lovely Rawani, Rajkumari

Girls under 14–   Shaisha Lal, Raj Nandni Amni, Chandni Kumari, Sandhya Rani, Dolly Kumari.

Boys under 20– Shahbaj Khan, Roshan Kumar, Motilal Mahto, Sandip Malakar, Sunil Pasi, Rahul Rajak, Sonu Kumar Mahto, Sachin Choubey, Sandip Ghosh.

Boys under-18– Alok Kumar, Umesh Kumar Yadav, Vijay  Yadav, Ruplal Kumar Raj, Shahil Kumar Roy, Aman Singh,  Rajiv Kumar Mandal, Rishuraj, Rajdeep Sinha.

Boys under-16– Uttam Kumar Rajak, Asitam Arya,  Achut Parpan, Chhotu Kumar, Dinesh Mahto, Kaushal Kumar, Monu Kumar.

Boys under-14– Ved Prakash Verma, Prem Raj, Md Irshad, Indrajit Kumar Mahto.
