Jharkhand News: 60-member Dhanbad team announced for state athletics championship

Dhanbad, March 18: 60-member Dhanbad boys and girls squads for different age groups have been announced for the Jharkhand State Junior Athletics Championship, which will be held in Deoghar from March 20 to 22.

Giving this information, former national athlete and secretary of Dhanbad District Athletics Association (DDAA)  Bandhan Toppo said that athletes had been selected for the state championships based on their performance in the district meet.

National athlete Jayaram Bhagat has been made coach of the team. The team would leave for Deoghar tomorrow.

DDAA president Kiran Rani Nayak, treasurer Zubair Alam, Tarak Nath Das, Sunil Mishra, Sujapa Thakur, Pradip Kumar, PM Banarji, Arvind Tiwari, and Gautam Mahto have congratulated selected athletes and expressed hope that they will bring laurels for the district in the state championship.
