Ranchi, Dec 16: In a proud moment for Birsa Agricultural University (BAU), a team of four students from the College of Forestry won 2nd prize at a start-up competition ‘PRARAMBH’ in National Food and Agri-business Conclave ‘SAMBHRAMA 5.0’ organised by Imperial School of Agri-business, NOIDA, one of the rapid growing B- schools in India.
After two rounds of screening, 13 teams out of 84 participated in the final round held on 13th December. Biju Roy, Sumit Kumar, Laxmi Kumari and Kalpana Kumari representing team BIRSAIANS fostered innovation and entrepreneurship with their unique idea and presentation.
The idea was hugely appreciated by one of the jury members, Rahul Lakhmani , CEO and founder, Skiify Solutions Pvt. Ltd.

The team has been awarded with a certificate of excellence and prize money of 15,000 thousand rupees. Students from different institutions from across the country including GBPUAT, Pantnagar, Uttarakhand; NDRI, Karnal; IARI, New Delhi and Symbiosis participated in the event.
The students paved their entrepreneurial journey under the mentorship of Dr. A.K. Chakraborty of the College of Forestry. The win has opened up new avenues for the students to shine and to bring laurel to the University.
BAU Vice-Chancellor Dr SC Dubey, Dean Forestry Dr MS Malik and DSW Dr BK Agrawal have congratulated the achievers.
