Daltonganj, July 12: A beehive has ‘hijacked’ the BSNL services in Netarhat under Latehar district.
A huge beehive in a BSNL tower has prevented the rigger from removing the fault in the antennae there.
BSNL Deputy General Manager (DGM) R K Singh told this correspondent today, “A huge beehive at our BSNL tower in Netarhat has disturbed our telecommunications here.”
Antennae dislocated
“We have an antenna there right at our tower. Rains and strong wind have dislocated the alignment of the antennae there,” said the BSNL DGM.
For fear of the beehive there, no rigger dares to climb onto the tower to do alignment of the antennae.
The BSNL is looking for pressing in professional beehive remover. An experienced hand is needed to remove the beehive.

First, the beehive is to be removed and only then the alignment of the antennae will be set right, the DGM maintained.
Incidentally, a beehive is a major issue in any high-rise building, private or government in Palamu.
Beehive caution displayed at Chhipadohar station
There is a railway station Chhipadohar here in the Dhanbad division where beehive caution is well displayed at the platform of this railway station.
Private high-rise building management keeps removing beehives at regular intervals although it is very difficult to remove beehives located too high.
However, with the government building, there is no mechanism for the removal of the beehive. It is left to the Queen Bee to migrate herself. Once the Queen Bee migrates, the beehive goes deserted.
However, at Netarhat, the BSNL is caught in a piquant situation.
It can’t afford to keep its tower non-functional just for the improper alignment of the antennae.
It’s a minor fault but its correction is highly risky because of the presence of a strong huge beehive.
The deputy general manager said, “It’s our prime task to first remove the beehive. It’s only then our rigger can mend the antennae there.”
The BSNL tower has been disrupted over the last few days and it may take a couple of more days before this beehive is dislodged from the tower and the antennae are properly aligned.
