Dhanbad, Nov 24: Police have arrested a key member of an organized bike-lifting gang and recovered four stolen vehicles, including a Toto rechargeable e-rickshaw.
Superintendent of Police (City) Ritvik Srivastava informed the media that during routine patrolling on Sunday night, police received information about a suspect riding a stolen motorcycle in the Rangamati area under Baliapur police station limits.

Acting swiftly, the police team cordoned off the area and apprehended the accused, identified as Raj Gorai (19), a resident of Sindri, Rangamati. During interrogation, he admitted that the motorcycle he was riding was stolen.

Gorai further confessed to being part of a bike-lifting gang involved in stealing multiple vehicles across the region. Based on his disclosure, police conducted overnight raids at several locations and recovered three motorcycles, including a scooter and a Toto rechargeable e-rickshaw.

The accused also provided the names of his accomplices and disclosed details of buyers who purchased the stolen vehicles. An FIR has been registered against him, and police have launched a search operation to apprehend the remaining gang members.
