BIT Sindri discusses electrical vehicle technology with foreign experts

Dhanbad, July 24: BIT Sindri faculty members along with experts from abroad discussed the significance of rapidly increasing electric vehicle (EV) technology in a workshop on Wednesday.

The workshop has been organised by the Electrical Engineering Department of BIT Sindri in a hybrid mode.

Role of advanced research in EV technology

Dr Rahul Kumar and Dr Murli Manohar, the conveners of the workshop, presented valuable insights and the role of advanced research in the EV technology field.

The convener said an expert Lovish Jaiswal while addressing presented an overview of the EV Lab Centre-of-Excellence and provided the participants a comprehensive understanding of the lab’s capabilities and initiatives.

Presentation on advanced battery pack modules

Lokendra Gupta delivered an insightful presentation on advanced battery pack modules, battery cells & BMS testing solutions for education, training, and research. He showcased cutting-edge developments in battery technology.

Another expert Nilesh Thankre introduced the WAVECT rapid control prototyping platform for electric vehicles, drives, and power electronics applications, its practical applications and benefits.

EV maintenance training

Roman Mokri from Turkey in his presentation on AR/VR-based electric vehicles demonstrated innovative approaches to EV maintenance training.

Mehmet Tosun and Rajesh Kumar presented on Typhoone-mobility and transportation testing solutions, They highlighted advanced testing methodologies in the mobility sector.

Dr Dipesh Kumar and Dr Rajesh Narayan Deo coordinated the session.

Dr Md. Abul Kalam, Head of the Department, Dean Academic D. K. Tanti, Dr Vineet Shekher, Prof. Matta Mani Sankar, Dr Prashant Kumar Singh, Prof. Praveen Kumar, Dr Amit Kumar Choudhary, Prof. Sanjay Pal, Dr B. Mishra, Dr H. C. Verma, and Dr Om Prakash, also discussed the issue.

“The workshop continues to serve as an important platform for advancing knowledge and fostering collaboration in the field of electric vehicle technology. The Department of Electrical Engineering at BIT Sindri remains committed to promoting research and innovation in this vital sector,” said the HoD.
