Jamshedpur, April 10: A Gamharia-based businessman and a JMM activist were injured as a gang of four criminals lobbed a bottle-bomb near the Teachers’ Training Institute in Gamharia under Adityapur thana area late on Tuesday night.

The bottle-bomb attack took place when the businessman Ajay Pratap Singh and the JMM activist Uttam Das alias Babu Das were engaged in conversation close to the latter’s SUV behind MTC Mall near the Teachers’ Training Institute at around 9.30 pm.

Businessman admitted to hospital

Those who lobbed the bottle-bomb were on foot and had disappeared from the crime scene having attacked the duo.

As a result of the attack, both the victims were injured, with the businessman sustaining a bit of serious injuries.

Soon after the incident, the locals rushed both the injured to the Gamharia-based government-run urban primary health centre from where Singh was shifted to Tata Main Hospital.
