Dhanbad, July 31: President Droupadi Murmu is scheduled to attend the 45th Convocation Ceremony of IIT (ISM) Dhanbad as the Chief Guest on Friday. Her arrival at Dhanbad Airport is expected at 11:40 AM.
In anticipation of the high-profile visit, the district administration carried out a full-dress rehearsal and carcade trial run from Barwaddah Airport to the IIT-ISM campus on Thursday.

Trial Run and Security Measures
The preparations included a trial landing and take-off of an Indian Air Force helicopter at Barwaddah Airport. Following this, a complete carcade consisting of over 50 vehicles—including the pilot car, VVIP car, and ambulance—traveled along the designated route to ensure smooth movement during the actual event.

Prior to the trial, Deputy Commissioner (DC) Aditya Ranjan and Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Prabhat Kumar briefed all drivers on key protocol requirements and emphasized strict adherence.
Venue Inspection and Return Drill
Upon reaching IIT-ISM, the DC conducted a detailed inspection of the main convocation venue, exhibition area, photo gallery, and rest lounges prepared for the President and other dignitaries. After the inspection, a return trial run from IIT-ISM back to Barwaddah Airport was also completed.

The rehearsal was attended by Inspector General of Police (IG), Chotanagpur Division (Bokaro Zone) Kranti Kumar Gardhesi, Deputy Development Commissioner Sadat Anwar, Municipal Commissioner Ravi Raj Sharma, Rural SP Chaudhary, City SP Ritvik Srivastava, ADM Law and Order Hema Prasad, SDO Rajesh Kumar, DRDA Director Rajeev Ranjan, DTO Diwakar C. Dwivedi, Civil Surgeon Dr. Alok Vishwakarma, Additional Municipal Commissioner Kamleshwar Narayan, Assistant Municipal Commissioner Prakash Kumar, and District Education Superintendent Ayush Kumar.
