Dhanbad, June 19: Congress leader Anupma Singh has been nominated as the working president of the Rashtriya Colliery Mazdoor Union (RCMU) central committee.

In this regard, RCMU general secretary AK Jha has written to the Coal India Limited (CIL) chairman and said that now Anupma Singh will cooperate with the management of CIL and its subsidiary companies for the maintenance of industrial relations between workers and management at all levels.

RCMU is the frontal organization of the Congress party’s coal industry workers and a major constituent of the Indian National Trade Union Congress (INTUC).

Anupma Singh, wife of  Bermo MLA  Jayamangal Singh alias Anup Singh (president RCMU) was a Congress as well as INDIA bloc candidate on the Dhanbad seat in the Lok Sabha elections this year.

“RCMU hopes that management of CIL at all levels will extend all possible support and cooperation to Anupma Singh in representing her at different levels,” said AK Jha, RCMU general secretary in his letter to CIL chairman.
