Jharkhand News: DDBA felicitates 5 junior players selected for State badminton teams

 

Dhanbad, November 18: The Dhanbad District Badminton Association (DDBA) has felicitated five junior players who have earned places in various Jharkhand state teams for the upcoming Yonex Sunrise Mini, Sub Junior and Junior National Badminton Championships across the under-11, under-17 and under-19 categories.

Five Young Talents Recognised

The players honoured were Nandita Gope, Jyotri Sarkar, Sankalp Singh, Sujal Rakshit and Pihu Singh.

DDBA coach Sandeep Dey said that Nandita, Jyotri and Sankalp were selected based on their strong performances in the Mini Jharkhand State Badminton Championship-cum-selection trial held in Lohardagga last month.

“These players emerged as winners and runners-up in their age group competition and got a berth in the state team. Now they will represent the Jharkhand team in the Mini National Badminton Championship to be held at Vadodara, Gujarat, from December 8 to 10,” he said.

Junior National Badminton Championship (Itanagar, Dec 18–24)

DDBA Officials Extend Congratulations

DDBA patron Commandant Deepak Singh, along with Shyam Pandey, senior vice-president, N.K. Singh, Rakesh Tiwari, Satish Kumar, and Secretary Samrat Choudhary congratulated the selected players and wished them success at the national level.
